With Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin, who was elected as The Chairman of the Board of TSE on May 25, 2018, the new era, which started in TSE, started to move forward with a solution-oriented vision.With this period; the cooperation between TSI, which is the competent authority on the determination, regulation and supervision of the standards which are very important for all the stakeholders of the elevator sector, and ASFED, which is the largest organization of the sector where 13 elevator associations are members, was given a start. Participated in the meeting where the authorized names of the units responsible for the elevator were also present, ASFED Vice Chairman Abdurrahman Aksöz and ANASDER Chairman Mustafa Demirbağ expressed their opinions about the studies that could be done on the legislation.  

”Elevator industry is an important sector that no one can ignore“

With his positive explanations, The Head of TSE, Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin made important determinations about the sector at the friendly meeting hosted by. Şahin said "I see that it is very important to listen to the sectoral problems directly from the interlocutors, in terms of the determination of institutional positining. You're on one side of the business, we're on the other side. We have to explain the situation we are in well, with respect to the sides we stand. Elevator, which is extremely common in Turkey, is a tool that people are familiar with its everything and is a major industry in itself. With the combination of many components, a quality is emerging, which is directly related to human health and safety. Therefore, it needs a continuous supervision and to be kept under a constant supervision. Elevator is an important sector that no one can ignore."

Ways of solutions will be searched through a common language

The Head of TSE, Şahin stated that the sector is open to listen and solve all the problems, which can be solved, arising from TSE. He drew a road map saying "In the following time, by bringing our technical committee within the TSE with a technical committee to be established with written requests from you together, we can create a working area related to the subject.". With this road map in the sector, where TSE Chairman of the Board Dr. Adem Şahin and ASFED Chairman of the Board of Directors Yusuf Atik met on the common place, the ways will be sought through a common language for the issues to be solved in the TSE wing with a technical committee to be established within ASFED.

Sahin: "Elevator production is important for Turkey"

While TSE President Adem Şahin emphasized the importance for Turkey of the elevator industry, he said “The elevator is a single product when you look from the outside. However the cabinet is a separate item, the rail, the control panel and the button are other separate items… Elevator production is important for Turkey. Now there are some structural problems when you try to link it to a Standard. First of all, we have to be able to speak the same language and meet in a common place.”

Having thanked to The President of TSE for the constructive and solution-oriented welcome, The President of ASFED Yusuf Atik stated that he will be the follower of the work which will be presented to TSE in the coming days, prepared by ASFED.
