ASFED visited Hasan Büyükdede with important agenda items

 

ASFED (Federation of Elevator Industrialists) Board of Directors visited Hasan Büyükdede, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, on 1 August 2019 to exchange views on the important agenda items they have determined regarding the sector. The main agenda items of the meeting are; It was about supporting the domestic elevator sector, which has made a significant progress with its high quality products and workmanship, to draw attention to the unfair competition caused by the specifications that direct it to foreign brands through tenders and to prevent the suffering caused by the difference in interpretation in the regulations. The meeting also presented the evaluations of ASFED on the importance and need of making the elevator industry a “strategic sector”.

Hasan Büyükdede, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, emphasized the importance of the sector and said “The issue of elevator is one of the main duties of our Ministry. In the last year, we have been working very intensely with our teammates, especially by leaning on the elevator industry. We are working on how to make the elevators better and better quality. Audits are important here, because the problems are resolved more quickly as we tighten our business. If the elevator with the red label was up to 50% previously, we were able to reduce it to 20% today with stringent audits. ”

 

In his speech, Büyükdede added the following; “Both regulations and increased inspections are aimed at protecting lifters who do their job well. We need to prevent those who buy every bag from saying that I am a maintainer, I am an installer. The aim here is to protect the high quality business and to disable the low quality business. ”

 

Stating that elevators, which are a very important part of human life, aim to operate with zero error, Büyükdede also underlined that they will not give the poor quality products a chance to live in the market. Büyükdede: “We will change the logic of doing poor quality business. If anyone insists on making poor quality products, we will be followers. Let us underline that it will no longer give the poor quality product a chance to live in the market. For this, we have signed an agreement with the laboratories of the test center at BTSO MESYEB. We care about this very much. All products produced on the market will be tested here. All products that appear to be problematic in the market will go to this center for testing. ”

ASFED Chairman Yusuf Atik; “There are manufacturers and installers who do very good and high quality work among us. However elevator company of good name among us is so easy to open in Turkey, working poor or those who realized marred. Unauthorized people should be prevented from opening a company. " said. At the Atik meeting, while presenting the documents and information regarding the preparation of the specifications directing to the foreign product, especially in the public tenders, he said that they could not fight the unfair competition created by this. Yusuf Atik: “In the technical specifications prepared in public tenders, where we encounter many examples, such articles are put in place, directing to a foreign brand is given anonymously. Although there is a circular about giving priority to the domestic product with the presidential order, the directing of public institutions to import does not give domestic lifters a chance to live. We have products that hold the specifications written in the technical specification, we have assembly companies that will assemble it, but we cannot participate in the tender. ”

 

On the other hand, on the subject; Stating that they are right in the demands of the domestic lifters, he stated that they are preparing a new study in the Ministry regarding the increase of domestic use. Grand father; “We have no problem about producing in our country. As the elevator industry, we need to improve the quality of the product we need. Again, we need to establish a structure where all the feet that produce, assemble and service together. A combined working and reassuring mechanism should be created. ”
