While investigations against the coronavirus, which affect the world and spread more and more, are continuing, experts continue to warn the virus not to infect a large number of people. Expressing that it is one of the most dangerous tools in the transmission of the coronavirus of our elevators, which is an indispensable part of our daily life, Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine Public Health Department Information Center for Society also made a statement and listed the issues to be considered in the use of elevators.

- 1.5-2 meters (at least 1 meter) of the elevator where social distance cannot be achieved should not be taken, if possible, stairs should be used or the next elevator should be waited. In cases where the recommended distance cannot be achieved, it should be preferred to take the elevator one by one.

- The person who gets on the elevator should definitely use a medical mask.

- Hands should be washed with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after any button or surface contact. In the absence of soap and water, alcohol-based hand disinfectant can be used.

- It is also important to clean all the surfaces that are frequently contacted in the elevator, the elevator door handle, and the keyboards with elevator outer and inner buttons.
