The results of VDMA's latest survey with 965 German companies make it clear that the Corona epidemic has negatively affected the supply chain in the machinery industry and the situation is getting worse.

According to the results of the survey, the rate of companies affected by the Corona epidemic in the last two weeks increased from 60% to 84%. 45 percent of companies are severely affected by disruptions in the supply chain. According to the survey, 96 percent of companies expect a decrease in sales in 2020. 62% of firms estimate this decline to be between 10% and 30%. 73% of firms state that they will reduce their investment plans in 2020. Half of the firms think that this decrease will be between 10 and 30% and nearly a quarter more than 50%.
